With the motto of advancing research in all aspects of cancer and promoting interaction among scientists in this field from different parts of India, the INDIAN ASSOCIATION FOR CANCER RESEARCH (IACR) was founded in November 1980 at Mumbai. Over these 39 years IACR has made seminal contributions both in promoting the research in cancer therapy and prevention as well as spreading the cancer education and awareness.

WE welcome the active involvement of all those who conduct cancer and allied research, as well as medical/ paramedical professionals, cancer survivors, students, research administrators and all the community who support IACR's commitment, vision and mission to prevent and cure cancer, by becoming an IACR Member.

There has been a steady increase in the number of IACR Life Members, which amounts to about 1000, in addition to the 100 Overseas Members. As an IACR Life Member, you enjoy the triple benefits to participate, nominate as well as get nominated for the IACR executive committee elections. Other than the Life Membership, IACR offers you different other categories too, which includes the Student Membership, Annual Membership, and Overseas Membership.

IACR Membership will connect you to its members around the world, who are involved in association's programs, enabling the timely exchange of scientific information. You can avail the benefits for IACR meeting registrations as well as foster relationships and collaborations with international cancer researchers, aiding the professional development and enhancement in cancer research

Become a Member:

PhD students can become life members as long as they are recommended by their mentors who should also be members.

If a faculty member wants to become an IACR member, they need someone to recommend their membership. If they cannot find one, they can send in a CV with their application and the President, Secretary and Treasurer will decide on whether or not the application will be accepted.
